Touch of black
Located in the newly established extension in Blue Valley Golfing estate, this contemporary home commands the corner it occupies. Designed in one meeting in association with the client actively participating in the planning process
The front door (and street corner) is announced by an intersecting slab feature, wrapping around the building edge and feature staircase. The living area is mostly open plan around a semi-courtyard. Upstairs are two main volumes that contain the bedroom wings, separated by a large double volume and PJ lounge which lives out towards a shared balcony. Darker vertical elements, in screened elements and balustrading are used in contrast with the announced light-coloured horizontal slabs
Departing from the typical Tuscan to a more contemporary aesthetic with dark grey tones and wrap-around slabs. Lower pitch tiled roofs with larger eaves hinting to an early Modern architectural look
