V for Golf
Fronting the prestigious Euphoria golf course, this contemporary home has been designed as an exclusive golfing holiday destination. With five spacious en-suite bedrooms and large entertainment areas it provides a backdrop for a memorable golfing holiday
A spacious covered patio, framed by slender V-shaped columns, and a similarly open balcony above provides panoramic views across the 16th hole fairway. A simple, yet tasteful landscape blends the natural rough from the course, into the property
Finished in darker tones of grey with roof sheeting as cladding, slanted to give a radical response to the street. The golf course facade presents a squarer, slab-driven aesthetic with deep shaded windows and balconies that seemingly float above each other
Materials were strategically selected, mainly smooth and dark plaster, contrasted by slender steel elements that are in contrast with bulky area of sheet-metal. The house is grounded by the inclusion of a large natural stone wall that leads you to the front door. The landscape is slightly formalised closer to the home and becomes more natural towards the golf course edge. In the transition zone there are strategic rectangular concrete blocks that contrast the surrounding veld-like aesthetic, much like the home contrast within its surroundings
