Why 86redBRICKS
86redBRICKS as our firm’s name, results from our principal architect’s dream when establishing the firm back in 2012.
Our principal architect, Gavin was born in 1986. Most buildings in South Africa end up being built with standard brick construction. Any good architect will always be specific when choosing a brick! thus, the red brick was chosen as a reference to where the first red bricks were manufactured, the city our firm calls home, Pretoria.
So, in short, Gavin (and his team) doing architecture from Pretoria.

THE A TEAM
The 86redBRICKS team consists of a range qualifications; Architects, senior technologists, technologists, draughtspersons, and administrators that form the A-team. This team, with their individual skills, contribute to the many aspects required for designing and documenting of architecture. The team continuously work together to ensure that different aspects are comprehensively addressed within each project we take on. We believe in involving the entire team in all our designs; this yields better results, as more brains onboard, means more design thinking and iterations are possible!
COMPANY PHILOSOPHY
86redBRICKS is grounded on a people first principle. Staying a smaller firm is also key, as we believe the heart and soul can be present in every project if you can keep to the hands-on approach.
