As part of the larger Sondela Senior lifestyle scheme: A development specifically designed for fifty plussers as a home in the Limpopo Bushveld.
Contemporary interpretation of the Highveld vernacular; Single storey home nestled amongst the bushveld trees with an earthy colour palette to blend with it’s environment. Corobrik’s Capricorn satin face brick, chosen to pick up on the red Sondela soil with grey and charcoal accents.
The main axis, angled to focus the volumes towards the natural bush, takes the arrival and projects it towards the unbuilt bush beyond. The positioning on the site anchors the house to a large existing tree and attempts to present a characterful response to the street while keeping the outdoor living space more private.
Natural stone has been integrated into the facades and screen walls as a unique signature in the development. Additionally, the face brick is strategically brought into the interior with back splashes and feature frames.
