V
Two main volumes intentionally separated are set perpendicular with a central axis, connected by an extensive transitional space. Block-like elements protrude from the volumes, obscuring visibility from the neighbours. A sight line is enforced from the front door, through into the back garden framed by striking V-columns that acts not only as structural support but also as a sculptural centrepiece
Although separate, the pool house still features the transitional logic with concrete and steel pergola connecting it and the house. The bulk of the property has been left open to accommodate the pool and boma, with the pool house serving as a screening element. Majority of the living spaces, split over multiple levels, live towards this courtyard-like garden
Sleek and simple lines with high contrasting colours are used in the façade. The roof and eave lines are clinically terminated on the ends with the dark, recessed gables containing large panes of glass enforce the stark shed -aesthetic. This is subtly countered by the irregularity and randomness of the natural stone walls
