Located on one of the larger stands, this house expands across the hillside, living towards the adjacent stream. From the street it presents sunken volumes with the middle announcing the entrance with a 1.5 volume front door. From the lower end the full extent is made visible with 3 distinct wings and a pool house living towards a central terraced area containing a pool, boma and several entertainment spaces. The bedroom wings fans out from the central core and results in additional and separate courtyard spaces. Most of the living spaces are oriented South, towards the green area – Northern sunlight being provided via large clere-storey windows
The central wing contains the foyer, kitchen, living, dining, and staff amenities. Joined by a bridge and split-level staircase, the upper wing provides 3 spacious bedrooms with lounge area. The lower wing contains the master bedroom suite with its adjacent study. Additionally, downstairs a gym, cinema, and music room – living towards both the central terraced garden and its own secluded courtyard
Natural stone taken from the site is incorporated with bag washed plaster, timber, and steel elements to reference to the farm-style aesthetic, as prescribed by the estate. The earthy palette is spread across simple horizontal and linear elements and intersected by the gentle angles of the mono-pitched roofs and steel elements
